A Couple of Funny Calls

I've had a couple of funny calls over the past few days.

Me: Operator
Caller: I need the special specialty doctor on call.
Me: Okay. What type of specialty is the doctor?
Caller: The one that you have and the entire Western United States doesn't. My neighbor told me about it. It's really special.
Me: What does the special doctor do?
Caller: He cures lice.
Me: I'm sorry did you say lice?
Caller: Yes. He cures head lice.

ONE MORE

Me: Operator
Caller: I need a genetics test and you guys keep transferring me to the Pediatric Genetics. I need the Chromosome Clinic. It's the chromosomes that you test not the genetics.
Me: There isn't a Chromosome Clinic. A chromosome is part of a gene, and genes are studied in genetics. I can transfer you to genetics.
Caller:  Oh. I don't know what a chromosome is. I just saw it on T.V.
